Guardian News & Media appoints Colin Davies as head of IT
Guardian News & Media has announced the appointment of Colin Davies as head of IT, with Davies to begin his new role in September.
Previously technology and production director of digital editions at The Economist, Davies will replace technology director Andy Beale, who will leave the company next month.
Davies said: "This is a fascinating time for the media industry, but Guardian News & Media is embracing the challenges faced by all publishers like no other. Joining GNM on this pioneering digital journey is something I am looking forward to immensely."
His new role will see him holding responsibility for supporting and developing technology to fulfil GNM's commercial and editorial 'digital-first' ambitions for the future.
