Low carbon building project, the NRP (Norwich Research Park) Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia (UEA), has awarded a two year contract for PR services to CFA.

The building, which is currently in the design process, is targeting Passivhaus and BREEAM outstanding status by using renewable materials. Part-funded by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, the landmark project is using a Single Point of Delivery (SPD) approach and is being delivered by main contractor Morgan Sindall and its team, including architects Architype, structural engineers BDP and Churchman Landscape Architects.

Once completed the building will play host to an enterprise centre, teaching and learning rooms, including a 300 seat lecture hall, and will form a gateway to the University. As a condition of the £2.6 million funding from the European Regional Development Fund, the centre will provide free business support through a series of bespoke CPD accredited seminars, webinars and other support showcasing the design, build and post-occupancy of the building.

The two year PR contract will see CFA working closely with all project stakeholders to achieve clearly defined objectives and goals, which include raising the profile of the project, attracting SME’s to register for and to receive free business support, attracting low carbon SME tenants for the commercial lettable accommodation, raising the profile of the Adapt Low Carbon Group in terms of world-class sustainable construction and enhancing the University’s reputation in the low carbon sector.
