Northcliffe MD Andrew Blair steps down after 16 years with company

The managing director of Northcliffe’s South West Media Group, Andrew Blair, is leaving after 16 years with the national regional publisher.

Blanche Sainsbury,currently MD of South West Wales Media Group, has been announced as Blair's successor.

Blair has overseen the move to convert the Exeter’s Express and Echo and the Torquay Herald Express from daily into weekly titles.

He said: “I wish Northcliffe the very best and would like to pay special tribute to the great team I leave behind in Devon. The SWMG business is one of the industry’s flagship businesses and I am proud to have played a part in its development."
