THINK!, the Department for Transport’s road safety campaign, has announced the re-appointment of Carat, with a three year contract and a total marketing budget of around £3.5m a year.

The agency was appointed after a four way pitch with Starcom, Mediacom, and Arena; following the closing of the COI.

Mark Hughes, business director at Carat, said: “We already had a strong relationship with THINK! and DfT. That they chose to remain with us for their new strategy is testament to their trust in Carat to unlock the value of media to deliver against their objectives of reducing death and casualties on our roads.

“Our approach of delivering a data-centric strategy backed up by robust research is perfectly aligned with the way DfT is seeking to work now and in the future. The team at Carat has a huge enthusiasm for the business that stems from really understanding how DfT operates and feeling passionate about contributing towards making a difference. We can’t wait to get cracking.”
