Bulletproof designs packaging and brand image for new Strongbow Pear Cider

Strategic brand and packaging consultancy Bulletproof has created the packaging and imaging for new Strongbow Pear Cider. Launched in the UK in July 2012, the newest variant of Strongbow cider aims to widen Strongbow’s consumer appeal and reinforce the brand’s position as the market leader.

Lucy Harman, brand manager, for Strongbow at HEINEKEN, commented: “Bulletproof have been paramount in working with us to extend our new Strongbow brand identity and packaging into Pear.

“The Pear packaging is modern and dynamic, providing powerful shelf standout whilst retaining a strong link with the core brand.”

Design director at Bulletproof, Tony Connor, says the new product design is in keeping with “the brand’s heartland of powerful masculinity.”

Connor adds: “The embellished version of the arrow device, with exploding Pear fruit photography works to create impact and standout, whilst strongly reinforcing refreshment cues on secondary packaging and brand communications. The Pear visual identity communicates to consumers the crisp cut-through product taste that consumers have come to expect from the Strongbow brand.”
