With ‘grafetti-ed’ print ads featuring lines such as ‘Go…jump off a cliff’ and ‘Go…away’ popping up all over the UK heralding the launch of a new Go Compare ad, Dare yesterday launched the latest ad for the comparison site.

The ad, the first from Dare since it took on the account earlier this year, features opera singer Gio Compario surprising a couple with a song, much to their disgust, before Sue Barker steps in to solve the problem.

The ad launched yesterday during Coronation Street, and features new tagline ‘saving the nation’, with a hashtag using the same words. The ad will run for six weeks.

Nick Hall, head of marketing at GoCompare, said: "We know a lot of people find the character irritating and this is us saying 'we get it'”.
