Nexus Communications to handle consumer PR for Thorntons

Thorntons has appointed Nexus Communications as its newly reappointed consumer PR agency following a five way pitch.

The remit covered all aspects of consumer and trade PR for the brand, which has recently celebrated its 100th Anniversary. Nudge PR will also continue to serve as a chocolate specialist agency dealing with the high end food media and supporting Thorntons through Chocolate Week.

“In Nexus we found an agency which clearly understands our brand and the direction we are taking the business,” said Emma Tagg, Thorntons’ PR Manager, “We were really impressed with the creative thinking from Nexus, in terms of building fresh affinity with both current and future fans, and helping to ‘make everyday special’.”

Following on from their Centenary year the brand has a busy calendar of events coming up and hopes that Nexus Communications will be able to help achieve their desired result of putting Thorntons at the front of consumers’ minds for all occasions.
