Lulzsec member Ryan Cleary, has admitted hacking into the websites of both the CIA and Pentagon as part of a string of cyber-attacks conducted on both sides of the Atlantic.

Alongside fellow hacker Jake Davis Cleary targeted a raft of high profile sites including the NHS, Nintendo and Arizona State Police using so called distributed denial of service attacks.

Amongst the most serious charges however are those relating to hacking into US Air Force computers at the Pentagon.

The pair admitted the offences during an appearance before Southwark Crown Court – although both denied unlawfully obtaining “confidential computer data.”

Two other defendants, Ryan Ackroyd and a 17 year old student, pleaded not guilty to conducting DDoS attacks.

All, apart from Cleary, were released on bail.
