McDonald’s reveal advertising trickery behind supermodel burgers

McDonald’s Canada have spilled the beans on the creation of the pampered, supermodel burgers which adorn the chains advertising, explaining how they look radically different to the jumble of lettuce, spilt relish and deformed buns most patrons are familiar with.

The behind the scenes s video illustrates how the fast food chain digitally alters its burgers for marketing purposes, depicting a local creative agency painstakingly reconstructing a store bought quarter pounder with cheese with surgical precision.

This image of carnivorous perfection is then digitally enhanced to airbrush out any blemishes or imperfections.

It has become a YouTube hit, drawing over 3m hits.
