Proxama to deliver NFC marketing capability to iPhone users soon

Proxama has said that it will soon be able to deliver NFC marketing capability to iPhone users through its TagCenter app.

The provider of mobile wallet and mobile marketing technology has teamed with DeviceFidelity, using the new iCaisse4X NFC battery pack sleeve, which will give users of the iPhone 4S and the iPhone 4 the ability to make contactless payments and access NFC marketing content.

Neil Garner, founder of Proxama, said: "Apple’s current lack of support for NFC in iPhone has been a topic of much discussion, especially as most other major handset manufacturers are now including NFC as a standard smart phone feature. That’s why the iCaisse4X NFC is a welcome development, as it will enable iPhone owners to engage with NFC-led promotional campaigns. When Apple launches an iPhone with NFC capability, users will be able to download TagCenterTM and enjoy the benefits NFC offers."
