Ahead of the Golf Open Championship next month, a video has been created by Weapon7 featuring golfer Jake Shepherd hitting the world’s fastest hole-in-one, with Formula 1 legend David Coulthard catching it 275 metres down the track in the SLS AMG Roadster he was driving.

Mercedes Benz tasked Weapon 7 with creating a video that would target a younger audience.

Jeremy Garner, Weapon7’s executive creative director, said: "The sheer speed of the SLS AMG Roadster, together with the skills of David Coulthard and Jake Shepherd, made this an exciting idea that only Mercedes-Benz could achieve."

The feat was independently verified by a Guinness World Record adjudicator who confirmed the achievement of furthest golf shot caught in a moving car.
