Sainsbury’s is set to unveil its summer ‘live well for less’ advert this evening during Coronation Street, which shows two boys making friends across a garden fence and spending their summer together.

Directed by Tony Barry of Sonny Production Company, who also was involved with the father and son Sainsbury’s adverts, the 60 second ad shows how children can entertain themselves over the holiday without parents having to spend a lot of money.

Sarah Warby, marketing director for Sainsbury’s, said: ““This campaign marks the next chapter for Live Well For Less showing customers that we’re committed to helping them enjoy the good things in life. The summer holidays can be particularly expensive, especially for many customers with families but at Sainsbury’s they can enjoy competitive prices without compromising on quality or values.

“We’re really proud of our fantastic quality by Sainsbury’s products and our great Tu clothing range that both feature throughout the television advert and demonstrate the quality and value Sainsbury’s offers customers everyday.”

Sainsbury’s is celebrating the launch of the ad by making 1,000 copies of the soundtrack, ‘The Monkees’ by The Monkees, available to download for free.
