E-commerce and direct mail office supplies brand Viking has launched a new Office Ref mini campaign with Gratterpalm.

The campaign features match style commentary by Chris Kamara of the Viking Office Ref handing out bookings to workers for a variety of office misdemeanours.

Simon Kendrew, digital director at Gratterpalm, said: “Viking asked us to develop its online brand and help it to engage with a younger audience. So we created the Viking Office Ref concept to speak to young, football-watching office workers and encourage them to interact with Viking by uploading their own Office Ref videos for a chance to win an iPad. The activity is also perfectly timed to enable Viking to take part in Euro 2012, which is already shaping up to be a fantastic tournament.”

Stuart Carlisle, head of E-Commerce at Office Depot, which owns the Viking brand, added: “We’ve had fun working with Gratterpalm to develop the Office Ref, and I’ve no doubt that the campaign will help us to engage with our key target audience during the football this summer.”
