Canon is set to provide camera and lens services and support at all eight tournament stadiums as part of its UEFA Euro 2012 sponsorship.
All accredited professional sports photographers in attendance during the tournament will be wearing Canon-branded bibs, with the logo being on screen every time a goal is scored as well as perimeter advertising boards to promote the brand.
James Leipnik, chief of communication at Canon Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “Football has produced some of the most defining and instantly recognisable sporting images of our age. Canon and UEFA will make exclusive behind-the-scene images available to fans throughout the final tournament through the dedicated Canon photo gallery on the UEFA Euro 2012 website, as well as fans having the chance to have their photograph taken by Canon which they can then download and share with friends on a Canon Europe ‘Fan Zone’ microsite.
