Karen Gillan’s first feature film ‘Not Another Happy Ending’ to be promoted by Wire Media
Synchronicity Films has appointed Wire Media to promote Not Another Happy Ending, the first feature film starring Karen Gillan, best known for her role as Amy Pond in Doctor Who.
Filmed in Glasgow, Gillan stars as a fiction writer who specialises in misery-packed novels, but gets writers block when her popularity causes her to become happier. Her publisher realises he must make her depressed in order for her to continue her success, but ends up falling for her.
Pamela Scobbie, director of Wire Media, said: “Not Another Happy Ending is a tremendous project. The script represents a side of Glasgow we can’t wait to see on the silver screen and everyone from producer to director is a pleasure to work with.
“The fact that this is Karen’s first feature film means that it’s bound to attract significant interest and we’re delighted to lead publicity surrounding it, particularly since we’re launching in one of the most glamorous homes of cinema, Cannes.”
