Nigel Hunter, former chief executive of Leeds digital firm Fuse8 has joined ODD as its digital director.

Hunter will now work with the agency’s founders, Simon Glover and Nick Stickland, on the development of ODD, which has offices in both Clerkenwell and Dublin to help it manage its work with Vodafone, as it embarks on further growth in the coming months.

Hunter commented; “When Nick and Simon asked me to take a role as an ‘elder statesman’ in the team I wasn’t sure if I was flattered or not! But having spent some time with them and the team, I’m delighted with the opportunity and I’m absolutely clear that the future lies in their hands. What is being dubbed as the return of the Mad Men era is the chance these guys needed to catapult their super-creative brand to the next level.”

He continued; “The proliferation of digital techniques, channels and creative technology has allowed the creative team to fly in recent months and I’m hoping I can bring some experience to bear when it comes to the upcoming projects and business development. There are significant projects due to launch later this summer that will really allow ODD to make their mark on a global level.”

Glover, MD of ODD, added; “Having Nigel as part of the team is a big boost to our credentials. He has experience that is absolutely complimentary to our skills and having stood shoulder to shoulder with many of our peers, were sure that Nigel will bring a new vigour and tenacity with him.”

ODD also works with clients such as Dr. Martens, Lacoste, Diageo and the Lawn Tennis Association.
