Aardman and Doner create new TV ad for Discovery Foods

Aardman and Doner Advertising have created a new TV ad to promote the 'Perfect Fajita Kit' from Discovery Foods.

The 20-second stop frame commercial, voiced by ‘Two Pints...’ star Natalie Casey, aired for the first time last night during a regional spot in Britain's Got Talent.

Set in a summer garden, the ad shows the fresh ingredients making their way across the table in procession and jumping into the packaging which has been designed to save space.

Aardman director Daniel Cohen said: “With food, I always believe that working with the real product is best – viewers don’t want to see an artificial representation.

"Different types of foods are easier to animate than others and with this ad were fortunate to be able to use peppers, cherry tomatoes and onions – it helps that they are solid and not too squidgy! Colourful ingredients that can be animated in a dynamic and entertaining way are best.”

The TV spots will be supported by outdoor advertising, online displays and social media activity.
