Airline carrier CityJet has appointed (Beta) to handle its £2m+ pan European advertising account following a three-way-pitch.

The appointment will include work across above-the-line, digital and b2c activity, with the agency tasked with evolving the current Cityjet ‘Now We’re Flying’ campaign, which was launched by Euro RSCG last September.

Says Christine Ourmières, CEO of CityJet, “We are delighted to announce that Beta is CityJet’s new creative agency. During the pitch they demonstrated that they were the perfect agency to help CityJet create an engaging and impactful campaign. Additionally, they would do so with complimentary values, personality and work ethic to those of CityJet.”

Andre Cini, commercial director for CityJet, added; “The creative campaign we developed last year gave us a distinct look and feel. However, the challenge now is to take the brand in a different creative direction that will not only resonate with our core customers, but that will also build traction with a new audience who has perhaps not considered flying with CityJet before. We believe Beta has the creative energy to deliver that new audience.”

The first work will be on the development of a summer campaign to promote key business routes, with business traffic historically tailing off during this period.

(Beta) will work alongside media buyer 7Stars, and PR and Social Media agency Consolidated PR.
