YouTube has pledged to spend £200m to help promote the channels of its advertisers across Google.

At an advertisers conference in New York, Robert Kyncl, global head of content for YouTube said that it would increase its marketing efforts for its channels across Google’s advertising network, while also announcing three new channels.

Associated Press reports that the new channels include Wigs, which will focus on drama for women and feature actresses Virginia Madsen, Julia Stiles and Jennifer Beals.

A TeamUSA channel from the US Olympic Committee will feature content in the build up to this year’s Olympic Games in London, while another channel from Tribeca Enterprises will also go live later this year.
