Music streaming service Spotify has today launched its first native iPad app.

Effectively a larger version of the Spotify iPhone app, it comes with retaina graphics suited for the iPad and AirPlay integration.

As it is optimised for the iPad, the Now Playing screen shows cover art from Spotify's catalogue of 18 million songs in high-definition.

Spotify has enlisted UK singer-songwriter Labrinth to promote the new app.
