The Gate Films has bolstered its Edinburgh team with two new recruits as senior producer Viv Jaspers heads back to her native New Zealand.

The new arrivals are Richard Lindsay from The Union and Victoria Watson from Red Kite Animations.

As an account manager Lindsay has worked on clients including Visit Scotland, Government Road Safety and Whyte & Mackay.

Watson has produced live action and animation films for the likes of Lloyds Banking Group, Scottish Water and Ikea.

Simon Lewis, co-founder of The Gate Films, said: "In bringing Richard and Victoria together we’ve got a team with real understanding of the demands placed upon our agency clients and some razor sharp creative credentials to boot. They’re both hugely ambitious and they’re coming on board during an exciting period of growth for the company.

"In the last few years Viv has marked herself out as top class producer and a real driving force for the company but as friends and fellow board members we’re all totally supportive of her wanting to return home."

Jaspers continues producing at the Gate until June while the new team take up their roles this month.
