Design agency Start JudgeGill has leant its backing to a new advertising agency called Hometown.

Launched by Saint founders Simon Labbett and David Gamble, Hometown will operate as a standalone business within the Start JudgeGill group.

As creative directors, Labbett and Gamble will be joined by strategy director Chris Jefford, who was Saint's innovations director, and managing partner Helen Kimber who has previously worked on new business at RKCR/Y&R and Brothers and Sisters.

Jefford said: "Hometown is a new breed of advertising agency, and our relationship with StartJG puts us in the enviable position of being able to draw on a host of skills that more traditional agencies just haven't got access to."
