Advertising juggernaut WPP has announced that its Kantar subsidiary has purchased a minority stake in Enprecis, a firm which has developed a proprietary online platform for the collection and interpretation of consumer feedback on the automobile industry.

Kantac, the consultancy group, paid $1.2m for the stake which will see them gain access to Enprecis’ client list – which includes some of the world’s largest vehicle manufacturers.

Enprecis was founded in Washington in 2006 and employs 30 people in offices in Paris and Shanghai, drawing Kantac with their ‘Continuous Quality Insight’ tool which is touted as connecting manufacturers and consumers in ‘unprecedented speed and detail’.

Kantar works across 100 countries and is employed by over half of the Fortune top 500 companies.
