Cloud computing company iomart Hosting has chosen the first 10 youth football teams it will sponsor next season after running a competition on social media.

The company's Host Your Kit competition, backed by Scotland internationals Charlie Mulgrew and Emma Fernon, invited local teams to submit pictures and videos explaining why they deserved a new sponsored kit.

Phil Worms, marketing director of iomart Hosting, said: “Since we launched the campaign on Twitter, Facebook and online, we have been inundated with hundreds of email and video entries from football teams across England, Scotland and Wales.

"With events like Euro 2012 and the London Olympics this year we felt it was a great time to get involved with sport.”

In all 30 youth football teams in England, Scotland and Wales will benefit from the Host Your Kit campaign for which iomart Hosting has partnered with sports retailer Greaves Sports. The winners will all receive an iomart Hosting sponsored adidas football kit.

The first Host Your Kit winning teams are: Ancrum Juniors FC U14s from Jedburgh in the Borders; Berner FC U12s, Tower Hamlets, London; Charlestown United U14s, St Austell, Cornwall; Jeanfield Swift Girls FC U11s, Perth, Scotland; Lumley Gateway FC U16s, County Durham; Mile Oak Wanderers U13s, East Sussex; Netherne Falcons FC U13s, Surrey; Port Glasgow Juniors BC U13s girls, Glasgow; Rainham Eagles U13s, Essex; and Scotton Scorchers U15s from North Yorkshire.
