Freederm launches You Are the Star site with MTV

Skincare brand Freederm has teamed up with MTV to launch a new website which makes the visitor the star of their very own MTV news bulletin.

The You are the Star website is styled as a virtual MTV studio where the visitor can record and edit their own choice of entertainment news clips to share on Facebook and Twitter.

The star of the best clip will get the chance to present for real when they spend a week at MTV's London studio alongside news presenting duo Laura Whitmore and Joel Dommett.

The campaign, created by Bray Leino, is open to all UK residents aged over 15-years-old and runs until 10 June. It is supported by digital, social media, print and a 30-second MTV television commercial.

Stuart Roberts, Freederm's brand manager, said: “Digital user-experience is becoming an increasingly important part of our overall brand strategy.

"This campaign provides an exciting and innovative opportunity for our consumers to engage with Freederm is a completely new way.”
