UM London has won the communications planning business for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme after a competitive three-way pitch against Mindshare and Manning Gottlieb OMD.

UM London will be responsible for developing a multi-media communications strategy to raise public awareness of the protection provided by the FSCS, increase knowledge of the compensation limits and ultimately improve pathways to the scheme's services for those directly affected.

Russell Place, chief strategy officer for UM London, said: "We are working with FSCS across the full communications spectrum, including advertising, partnerships, PR and stakeholder engagement."
