Clipper Tea to launch TV ad campaign with WARL and Aardman Animation

Clipper Tea is set to promote its range of Everyday Teas with an advertising campaign by WARL launching on Friday.

The 20 second TV ad was shot by Aardman Animation, and features a conga-line of mugs, with a voiceover from The IT Crowd’s Katherine Parkinson.

The TV campaign, bought and planned by The Media Shop, has been timed to coincide with Clipper’s repackaging of its Everyday Teas.

Clare Dorsett, WARL account director, said: “Clipper is a challenger brand in an extremely crowded category so it was even more important for our ad to be distinctive. We hope we’ve achieved this by showcasing Clipper’s bubbly personality and taste credentials in a fun but clear and memorable way.”

As well as the TV ad, the campaign will include an on-pack promotion, sampling, experiential activity at UK festivals throughout the summer and a social media campaign.
