North Lanarkshire Council has turned to Paramount Printers after the Scottish council sent ballot papers containing the wrong information to thousands of postal voters.

26,000 postal vote packs, created in-house, were sent out featuring an illustration of n ‘x’ in a box, but under the voting system used, voters should rank candidates numerically in order of preference.

After the error was discovered, the council contacted direct mail company Paramount Printers to help voters get the right information, with staff members working the weekend to make sure that the voting packs could be sent out early this week.
