House builder Countryside Properties has unveiled a digital and social media campaign, created by Milk Design and Truth PR, with a space theme.

Running until the end of the month, the campaign focuses around a space-themed web based drawing game, with users asked to draw a spaceman who takes them on an intergalactic adventure, for the chance to win an iPad.

Peter Vella, marketing director at Countryside Properties, said: “We wanted to do a campaign that really broke from the norm in terms of the traditional print advertising typical of the house building industry. ‘Out of this world’ has given us a platform to help build the Countryside Properties brand and drive awareness of our affordable but highly specified developments across the North West to a far wider audience.”

Running in association with children’s charity Five Stars Appeal, the campaign is being supported by PR, print advertising, HTML emails, text marketing and point of sale.

Zoe Telfer, director at Milk, said: “It’s been great to flex our creativity and technical abilities to create this campaign for Countryside. Ensuring Out of This World was available to as many users as possible was a top priority to us. As such, Adobe’s Flash wasn’t an option for us to build the game with. We chose to develop it with fresh technologies such as jQuery and Raphael, making certain that people using mobile devices such as Apple’s iPad or iPhone would get exactly the same experience as those using desktop browsers.”
