William Shatner wines and dines millionth Twitter follower
William Shatner, famous for playing Captain Kirk in the Star Trek sci-fi franchise, has treated his one millionth Twitter follower to a slap up meal in celebration of reaching the milestone.
The lucky dinner date turned out to be Troy Pound of South Carolina who was wined and dined with his wife in a local restaurant as Shatner was passing through.
Since that evening Shatner has added an impressive 23,000 fans to his tally, as Trekkies scramble to be the two millionth follower.
