Glasgow design studio Randak has created the new brand for Argyll and The Isles.

The brand will be used to promote the region's main towns, heritage and culture and its business, leisure and tourism offer.

Charles Randak said: "Creating an inward sense of pride and ownership in the brand is as important as the outward communication of the sense of place – especially in attracting tourism where each area has its own story to tell.

"Our new brand for the area’s Strategic Tourism Partnership communicates the diversity of the ‘offer’ and provides each of the eight areas with their own ‘asset’ underpinning their individuality. While this sounds technically very sound brand development on our part, equally important is the visually memorable interpretation of the area in the design.

"The differing landscape elements create a stunning marketing platform which will, over the coming years, promote the unique and varied character of the area as a must-see destination for the domestic and international tourism market."

The brand will launch at EXPO 2012 next week. Randak has experience in the field having previously developed the brand and signage for Kilmartin Glen.
