A new website for online retailer Homecraft has gone live, following a brief delivered to Cherry Tiger.

Homecrafts, which has been selling arts and crafting materials online since 1999, appointed the Leeds agency after a three-way pitch.

Cherry Tiger's brief was to improve usability and the overall shopping experience for customers.

Homecrafts also wants to use social media to build an online community ranging from professional crafters to those trying it as a hobby.

Cherry Tiger account director, Louise Spencer, said: "They've been prepared to make a huge step change to their approach to online design and allowed us a great deal of creative freedom - at pitch stage we seemed to have a strong shared vision over what this site could be."

The new site is due to launch in August.
