Global wireless network provider Xirrus has tasked 3 Monkeys with raising its profile across the UK and Europe.

The contract will include PR and social media activity, following a five way pitch.

The agency will report for John Merrill, corporate marketing and communications director, in a bid to highlight the client's expertise in wireless network and deliver campaign that will showcase the need for wireless connection to businesses.

The company’s technology will also be promoted to other businesses.

Stuart Yeardsley, board director at 3 Monkeys, who will lead the campaign, commented: "Xirrus has a great reputation in the US and amongst those familiar with the company in the UK. It is an exciting time to be working with Xirrus. The company had the vision and foresight over seven years ago to design and implement industry-leading wireless technology, which they believed would be the backbone for all business networking and communication. Thanks to the tremendous growth in mobile devices, and trends such as Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and machine-to-machine (M2M) communications, Xirrus is seeing this vision come to fruition. We're thrilled to be helping to raise their profile during such an exciting time in the evolution of networking, and look forward to telling Xirrus' innovation story in a compelling way to a wide range of organisations. Xirrus is a natural thought leader, with bleeding edge technology, unmatched technical credentials and an entrepreneurial spirit. We've got a great opportunity to make a splash in the UK business technology media."
