Skype reaches new milestone with 40m users
Online communications service Skype has this week announced that it reached a new height, with 40 million concurrent users signed into the platform at once.
In a blog, the free-to-use service, which is a subsidiary of Microsoft, thanks its users; “This is a massive new milestone for a simple piece of software that helps make meaningful connections a cool part of people's lives every single day.”
Only last month the service announced its previous record of simultaneous use of 35million.
