Confectionary brand Kinder Chocolate is to run its first stand-alone advertising campaign in the UK from next week.

The £4.1m campaign, from Krow, will include TV and print, and will include animated creative from artist and illustrator Oliver Jeffers, and will feature the strapline ‘Invented for kids. Approved by Mums’.

The campaign will initially run for seven weeks, to build the personality of Kinder Chocolate within the UK, and forms part of a five-year brand growth strategy.

Mauro De Felip, marketing director for Ferrero UK & Ireland, said: “We’re excited to be launching our very first stand alone campaign for the Kinder Chocolate brand in the UK. Ferrero have committed significant investment to the Kinder Chocolate brand in a bid to pursue our aggressive ambition for the brand in the UK over the next five years.

“In the Kinder Kids portfolio, Kinder Surprise is already a very well established brand in the UK market, however even though Kinder Chocolate is growing we still believe there is room to build consumer awareness, and introduce more consumers to the pleasure and enjoyment that Kinder Chocolate can offer," added Mauro.
