House actress Lisa Edelstein stars in latest PETA ad to promote vegetarianism
US actress Lisa Edelstein, who has been in TV shows such as House, is the latest star to appear naked in an ad for PETA.
Promoting vegetarianism, the strapline of the ad is "Eat Green to Go Green", and features Edelstein lying on a bed of green vegetables. The photograph is shot by Jack Guy.
She said: "A vegetarian diet is a really important part of what we need to do to help the environment.
"The meat industry is really toxic to the environment. The cattle industry – besides the fact that there's a lot of cruel things happening – the manure is extremely toxic."
Earlier today, the ASA revealed that it had banned a PETA ad which suggested that eating meat led to obesity.
