The Times has announced a new partnership with Sky Sports News HD, which will see the newspaper increase its sports coverage.

As part of the partnership, a sponsorship advertising campaign will run on Sky Sports News at Ten tomorrow, with a series of idents to be shown throughout each hour-long programme.

The idents will rotate to portray The Times’ varied and top quality sports coverage. This week’s programme will feature football and rugby, but spots for cricket, tennis, Formula 1TM and athletics will also be broadcast over the course of the campaign.

Suzi Watford, marketing director at The Times and The Sunday Times, said: “This campaign will demonstrate our commitment and passion for sports journalism. The range of awards The Times has won so far this year shows that we are clearly the UK’s superior newspaper in terms of world class sports coverage.”
