Karmarama has created a new campaign for the BBC to launch its Shakespeare Unlocked season.

Shakespeare Unlocked is part of the BBC's Cultural Olympiad schedule and features over 25 programmes devoted to The Bard across its TV and radio networks.

As one of the BBC's roster agencies, Karmarama was enlisted to create a series of trails to launch the season and promote key programmes within the schedule, which includes four dramas on BBC Two directed by Sam Mendes.

Its brief was to bring the works of Shakespeare to a wider audience and celebrate how one man was able to uniquely capture so many diverse human emotions that are as relevant to today’s audience as they were in his own time.

The launch campaign is now running across TV, radio and online.

The trails were produced by Red Bee and directed by Ben Newman. Tom Grove Carter for the Family was the editor while post production was carried out by Time Based Arts. Audio was completed by Grand Central.
