Publicis London has appointed Ogilvy&Mather creative director Andy Bird as its new executive creative director.

Bird, who became the head of art and design at BBH aged just 27, was one of four executives who left BBH to form breakaway agency Soul Advertising in 2000.

At Ogilvy he oversaw accounts including Europcar, Expedia, The Spectator, Castrol, World Wildlife Foundation and Kraft.

Karen Buchanan, Publicis London's chief executive, said: “Andy is a real talent and has an eye for creating and inspiring great work, and inspiring those around him.

"His entrepreneurial background combined with big agency experience make him ideal for ensuring that we deliver world-class creativity for all our clients."
