Twitter working to solve ‘unfollow’ bug
Twitter has said that it is working to solve a bug which causes users to ‘unfollow’ people without their permission.
A spokesperson admitted that there was a bug, adding that the team is trying to fix it. Advice given to tweeters was to check fellow tweeters’ profile pages to check whether they are still following them or not.
The Twitter support page describes the problem as ‘A person you've recently followed shows in your following tab, but appears with a follow icon so it looks like you're not following them.’
The problem is said to have affected thousands of users.
