Kuwaiti organizers of an international sporting competition have been left red faced after inadvertently playing a spoof version of the Kazakh national anthem during the medal ceremony.

What should have been the proudest moment of Maria Dmitrienko’s life instead ended up as her most excruciating as she endured lines such as “Kazakhstan’s prostitutes cleanest in the region.”

It also made references to potassium exports.

The blunder was made after organizers mistook the track, recorded for the 2006 film Borat, for the official Kazakh anthem.

Outraged Kazakh officials are demanding an apology.
