Porter Novelli and Finn toast Glenfiddich PR wins

Whisky brand Glenfiddich has appointed Porter Novelli to handle its global PR needs and Finn PR to handle its UK consumer account.

The six-figure accounts were previously held by GolinHarris. Both Porter Novelli and Finn were appointed following separate four-way pitches.

While Porter Novelli's brief is to raise the Scotch whisky brand's profile overseas, Finn will handle consumer media and blogger relations, sponsorship maximisation, experiential events and content production closer to home.

Glenfiddich, which is owned by William Grant & Sons, celebrates its 125th anniversary this year.

Annabelle Clarke, senior brand manager for Glenfiddich, said: “2012 is a big year for Glenfiddich, celebrating a key milestone for the brand. We needed an agency with robust, strategic thinking, commercial understanding and focussed, well thought out ideas."
