Research from My Voucher Codes has found that 36% of Brits over the age of 18 no longer watch live TV, preferring to watch shows on catch-up or via services by Sky or Virgin Media.

Over half of the people who said they did not watch shows when they first aired blame the fact that they didn’t have the time.

When asked how they catch up with programmes that they missed, 23% said they did so through catch-up services such as BBC iPlayer and 4oD, 42% said they use a service such as Sky+, and 3% said they prefer to wait for the series to come out on DVD.

The survey of nearly 2000 Brits also found that 2% do not own a TV, because they feel they can watch everything they want on their computer.
