MediaCom launches specialist digital division

MediaCom has announced the launch of MediaCom i-lab, a new search, social and technical digital department based in Manchester.

The media planning and buying agency describes the new '30-strong' department as 'a centre of excellence' for MediaCom offices across the UK.

It will be headed by Paul Cooper, who joined MediaCom North as regional head of digital last year.

The team will include many of the digital staff MediaCom inherited when it acquired Brilliant Media in December last year. These include Pete Young (head of SEO) Michael Leppan (head of technology) and Paul O’Connor (joint head of search).

They will work alongside joint head of search Steve Grave and head of digital operations Rob Weatherhead.
