A racist tweeter from Swansea has been arrested by police after penning offensive posts on the micro blogging service.

The 21 year old, from Swansea, was arrested on Sunday after commenting on the collapse of Bolton Wanders midfielder Fabrice Muamba.

Their match against Tottenham Hotspur had to be cancelled after Muamba suffered a heart attack and collapsed on pitch.

In a statement South Wales Police said: “We have arrested a 21-year-old male from the Pontypridd area in connection with racially offensive comments made on the social network site Twitter. The male is currently being held in custody at Swansea Central police station.”
