New head of sales and marketing for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has made Bram Schot its new head of sales and marketing.

The 50-year old takes the post on 1 April and will succeed Harald Schomburg, who will leave the company by mutual consent once the transition to his successor has been completed.

Schot started his career in 1982 at DAF Trucks Netherlands before moving to Mercedes-Benz in 1987. There he held various international posts, latterly as president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Italia from 2006 to 2011.

He joined the Volkswagen Group in 2011, initially taking charge of strategic projects in group sales.

Schomburg has held executive responsibility for sales and marketing at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles sice 2006 and was appointed member of the brand board of management of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles responsible for sales and marketing in 2007.
