A speeding Japanese Ferrari driver has been apprehended after he posted footage of himself tearing up the tarmac around Tokyo on Youtube.

The man, a 50 year old doctor, was clocked rattling along at speeds of up to 77mph in a 25mph zone and filmed himself doing so to let people “understand the beauty of a Ferrari”.

The show-off merely succeeded in displeasing Youtube’s notoriously fickle commentators who proceeded to pass his details on to local police.

A police spokesperson confirmed that a man had been identified from the footage and could face a six month jail sentence or £778 fine if convicted.

To date the clip has garnered 102 ‘dislikes’ and 40 ‘likes’.
