50% feel overwhelmed by brand messages on social media

Content & Motion, alongside Toluna Quick, has unveiled an 'info-toon' on brands and social media, based on research that shows that 50% feel overwhelmed by brand messages on social media – but 45% are happy to interact with brands.

The slide show, based on an international panel of around 3,000 people, finds that 80% of interactions on Facebook are simple ‘likes’, while only 20% proactively post on brand pages.

Discussing key points for brand managers to consider for social media campaigns, the research finds that of the 45% who like to share with brands, 60% are happy to share brand messages and 27% like to share information about brand purchases.
