Frozen potato brand McCain Foods has appointed Blue Chip Marketing to create an ongoing through-the-line activation programme following a three-way-pitch.

The first campaign developed by Blue Chip following its appointment is set to go live this Spring, with the agency’s London office handling the account.

Joanna Eastwood , McCain’s senior brand communications manager, said; “Blue Chip Marketing delivered a creative solution to the brief, helping to bring to life the new campaign at store level and also demonstrating lots of passion at every stage.”

Meanwhile, Stewart Hilton, creative director for Blue Chip, added: “McCain is a fabulous brand, famous not only for its potato products but for its innovative marketing, such as its recently-launched potato-smelling bus shelters! It is great to be part of such a creative, successful team and we look forward to playing our part in adding a new layer of success to the McCain marketing legend.”
