Ben Langdon, former CEO of Digital Marketing Group and European CEO of McCann-Erickson has taken the newly created role of president at Foviance.

Langdon, who left DMG last April, will work with the senior management team to grow the business, make more money, develop client relationships and convert new business, he explained.

He added that he will take on some of the duties of executive chairman Phillip Hunt who will continue in the role of non-executive chairman within the agency.

“I’ve learned quite a bit from running Digital Marketing Group,” he told The Drum. “The first thing I do for instance is look to help companies find some means of earning money on a continuous basis rather than a project basis.”

Hunt said: “We’re thrilled to have attracted Ben to come to Foviance. His knowledge of the digital space, his business acumen and his understanding of the wider world of marketing and communications will prove invaluable as we grow Foviance in the UK and overseas.”

Langdon, who began in the role today (Monday 5 March) also added that he will continue with his consultancy business Tradigital and has joined board of mobile business Sponge, Facebook API company Rocketer and set up Boubaz, an e-commerce business, where he is chairman.

The agency has released a video interview with Langdon on YouTube (see above).
